SANDJET ® service is one of our most commonly used methods for internal cleaning of flame heaters and pipes. The SANDJET service uses high-speed nitrogen-propelled harmless cleaning materials and is often considered the fastest method of cleaning.
When the catalyst is contaminated, the reactor operating at high temperature must be cooled. The Praxair Nicool ® reactor provides two cooling methods.
One-pass cooling is suitable for any reactor. The cooling gas enters the reactor and removes heat from the catalyst, thereby achieving safe removal of the catalyst. If an appropriate cycle compressor can be used, liquid nitrogen controlled by Praxair's proprietary system can be directly injected to cool the cycle gas, thereby cooling the catalyst. "Complete Drying Service" is a complete problem solution for drying process systems. When using a nitrogen drying process system, our mobile nitrogen pump delivers nitrogen at high flow rates (up to 600,000 standard cubic feet per hour), pressure (up to 6000 psi), and temperature (up to 600 ° F, or 315.6 ° C). This powerful performance, combined with a nitrogen dew point of -90 ° F (-67.8 ° C), effectively removes moisture from the process system, helping customers save time and money.
Complementing the nitrogen pumping service, Praxair's "Dry Air Service" provides an alternative to drying process systems. This service delivers 100% oil-free air through multi-bed dehumidifier dryers at dew point levels down to -90 ° F (-67.8 ° C). Each unit has a flow rate of approximately 75,000 standard cubic feet per hour, and multiple units can be used if necessary. Each unit has a gas delivery pressure of up to 125 psi and removes moisture by entrainment. All equipment is started, operated and maintained by our company's staff. Praxair has also developed the SeeperTrace SM pipeline leak detection service for long-distance pipelines, which is one of the only rapid and efficient locating technologies for pipeline leaks in the liquid, gas or multi-phase products. This technology detects leak rates of 1 gallon per day without interrupting service or digging.
Finally, Praxair's HeliTec ® leak detection service quickly locates leaks in buried pipelines and inspects factory pipelines and systems. The principle of this method is to add a tracer helium gas to the gas (usually nitrogen), while using a more sensitive helium detector. After the normal fluid is removed from the pipeline, the pipeline is pressurized with test gas, and then the presence of helium in the air above the pipeline is detected using a helium detector.
Newly installed pipes and vessels often require verification of mechanical integrity before use. Existing vessels and pipelines can use similar tests as part of an asset integrity program or for re-rating under higher pressure conditions. To meet these needs, we provide both pneumatic and hydraulic test methods. .
